Disney World Memories

Image
Our Disney World vacation was a blast! It was so special to share it with my brother, Clint, and his adorable family. :) It was so nice to be with my college kids and for the guys to take a break from work. It was fun to eat, play and laugh together from sun-up to way past sun-down. I especially loved watching my brother in action as a dad. He's awesome! Here are some of my favorite highlights...

My niece pulled the sword from the stone!

Meeting Merida.

Our character breakfast with Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet was terrific!

Our whole group in front of Cinderella's castle.

Waiting for the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular with my niece.

At World Showcase in Epcot.

Our group at Animal Kingdom, in front of The Tree of Life.

The girls visiting Ariel in her grotto. Sooo cute!

Zach and Marcus at Animal Kingdom.

My favorite pic of Marissa! Posing with Daisy Duck.

My favorite pic of my nephew, with Mickey Mouse.

My favorite Splash Mountain pic!

This will be my last post until I return from our family vacation to Disney World. We leave this Friday. It's not in my field guide, but I found out it's an Amaryllis Hybrid, and it wasn't growing at the Desert Museum, but at Tohono Chul park, which is full of lovely desert gardens and only te…

Our Happy Heart's scripture verse for this week. It's very fitting with Brother DeGraff's history lessons.
I'm in the middle of 2 Chronicles in my personal scripture study. I've been reading the Old Testament from cover to cover, studying parts of it in depth. My thoughts at this time is that wicked kings lead their people to forget their God and commit sin, where righteous kings help their people remember and serve their God. Our leaders make a difference so we should wisely select righteous, godly men and women to represent us. When we don't, they are selfish and allow laws to be made which are at odds with our constitution and take away our precious freedoms, putting our liberty at stake. And we just let it happen because we won't stand up together for what is right. As our nation continues to move further away from our God and the values which made up the foundation of this choice land, we risk losing our freedoms altogether and being swept off.
