Weekend in Arequipa

Marcus and I spent the weekend in Arequipa visiting some friends. It was the first time we'd been back to Arequipa since living there when Marcus was 2 and 3-years old. He didn't remember much, but thought Arequipa was cool.

Marcus bravely tried key-lime pie. He liked the graham cracker crust more than the tangy filling.

An alpaca that was tied up in a park.
Feeding pigeons in Plaza de Armas

We gave money to this blind man and then he said a prayer.

We caught a parade. Here they are carrying the Peruvian flag.

Someone gave Marcus a balloon at the parade, which he later gave to an little Peruvian boy.

Our friend's pet bunny, Willa.

Flying back to Lima. Marcus got the window seat.
